Standards

Escape route signs and equipment location markings on board follow IMO Resolution A.1116(30), which applies under SOLAS chapters II-2 and III. ISO 24409-1 sets the design principles for shipboard safety signs, fire control plan signs and safety markings.
Pipe marking divides by where the pipe runs. Land-based plant uses the ISO 20560 information labels; piping on board is identified by the ISO 14726 colour codes instead. The two are not mixed in one specification.
Way guidance has to stay readable when the lighting fails. ISO 16069 is assessed for the installed system rather than for a single product, and DIN 67510-1 is how the photoluminescent material itself is measured.
